Tonight as I was sitting with Hanna, I became overwhelmed at what God has done in this little girl in helping her attach. She nestled her face into my neck and melted in my arms while embracing me for minutes. Its incredible when she does that. I am stunned when I think back to the first encounter with her in the care center in Addis when she seemed so scared of us, but now she seems so comfortable. Thank you God for working in this little girl's heart to enable her bonding to us. You are so good!

Yes, this attachment thing is amazing, isn't it. Today Aklilu had his pic taken professionally and he kept looking at me and saying, "mama!" Like, why are you letting her do this? Pick me up! (he also tells me, "up up!!"")
I second Jean the amazement of attachment and the look-what-happens-when-I-miss-a-couple-days!
Tizita follows Paul around the house all the time and tells me how she's going to hug and kiss him when we pick him up from work. That's a long way from not going anywhere near him in Addis!
